Road set to close for up to 12 weeks to allow new gas main to be installed

A road at Grappenhall, Warrington, is set to close for up to 12 weeks next month (August) to allow a new gas main to be installed.

Warrington Borough Council has given Notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Bradshaw Lane from its junction with Ollerton Close to its junction with Springfield Avenue.

The Order will be effective from 1st August 2022, for 12 weeks, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Thelwall New Road, Knutsford Old Road, Knutsford Road and vice versa.
The closure is required to allow Cadent Gas to install new mains within the carriageway.
