Hospital COVID-19 death toll climbs to 700 since start of pandemic as inpatient numbers continue to rise

ONE more COVID-19 death has sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital over the weekend, taking the hospital death toll to 700 since the start of the pandemic, while inpatient numbers continue to rise.

While inpatient numbers have risen from 77-95, a total of 18 patients have been discharged since Friday.

A total of 574 COVID-19 cases have been reported over a seven-day period, with an infection rate of 274.1 compared to a national rate of 246.3.

Current inpatients as of Monday, July 11, 2022, compared to Friday, July 8 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 95 (79) including 0 (0) in ICU.

The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 696 – 332.4 per 100,000.

There have been 574 (502) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 79,767 – 74,697 1st infections, 5,070 second (79,269) and an infection rate of  274.1 (239.7) per 100,000 which has risen again compared to a rate of 246.3 (205.7) for England.
