Three fire crews called out to tackle oven fire

THREE fire crews were called out last night to tackle an oven fire at a property in Orford, Warrington.

Shortly before 9 pm crews from Warrington, Stockton Heath and Lymm attended reports of an oven on fire in the kitchen of a property on Poplars Avenue.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put out the fire and a high-pressure fan to clear the smoke.

There were no reports of any injuries.

In another incident at 9:30 pm, one crew from Penketh was called out to reports of bushes on fire on Parker Street, Bewsey and Whitecross, Warrington.
The small fire was put out by firefighters using a hose reel jet.
