Fire crew tackle arson incident on railway embankment

FIREFIGHTERS were called out last night to tackle an arson incident on a railway embankment in the Fairfield area of Warrington.

Shortly before 8:30 pm one crew from Warrington was called out to Hume Street, Warrington

The fire on a railway embankment was extinguished by firefighters using a hose reel. It is believed the fire was started deliberately.

Setting any fire like this deliberately is an offence. Please report anyone you see lighting fires in the open by calling Cheshire Police or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 anonymously.
