Fire crew tackle car fire at Orford and bale of hay fire at Rixton

A fire crew was called out to tackle a car that was well alight on a road in Orford, Warrington, earlier today, Wednesday.

Shortly after 16:15 one crew from Warrington was called to reports of a vehicle well alight on Ireland Street.

The crew extinguished the fire with a hose reel and they used absorbent mats to collect fluid from the vehicle.

Meanwhile earlier in the day shortly after 15:20, one crew from Lymm was called out to reports of a fire on Manchester Road, Rixton, Warrington.

A smouldering bale of hay was extinguished with water from a hose reel by firefighters, who also use a tool to drag the hay to extinguish it fully.
