One more COVID-19 death as infection rates and inpatient numbers continue to rise

ONE more COVID-19 death has sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital, as infection rates and hospital inpatient numbers continue to rise.

Infection rates have risen from 146.1 to 201.5 in Warrington since last Thursday, while hospital inpatient numbers have increased from 39-49, while 23 patients have been discharged.

Current inpatients as of Tuesday, June 28, 2022 compared to Thursday, June 23 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 49 (39) including 0 (1) in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 649 – 309.9 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 277.2
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 696 – 332.4 per 100,000.

There have been 422 (306) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 78,994 – 74,114 1st infections, 4,880 second (78,631) and an infection rate of 201.5 (146.1) per 100,000 which has risen again compared to a rate of 187.4 (147.4) for England.
