Warrington’s latest COVID-19 hot spots as infection rates continue to rise in many areas

COVID-19 infections have continued to rise in many areas of Warrington according to the latest small area of data.

There were a total of  306  cases week ending June 18  compared to 273  cases week ending June 11, compared to 127 the previous week and 109 the week before that.

There have been four COVID-19-related hospital deaths in the past week, while inpatient numbers were up on the previous week from 28-38 while 33 patients have been discharged.

Current inpatients as of Thursday, June 23 , 2022 compared to Thursday, June 16 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 38 (28) including 1 (1) in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 648 – 309.5 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 276.7
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 695 – 331.9 per 100,000.

There have been 306 (259) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 78,631 – 73,822 1st infections, 4,809 second (78,293) and an infection rate of 146.1 (123.7) per 100,000 which has risen again compared to a rate of 147.4 for England.
