The Proclaimers set to appear at Parr Hall

We’re less than a week away from The Proclaimers appearing at our historic Parr Hall in Warrington. There’s no need to walk 500 miles or 500 more if you want to see the band in action, as they’ve included the Warrington-based venue as part of their 35-date UK tour.

The Scottish duo have chosen a 35-date tour to commemorate the 35 years since they first burst onto the music scene with their debut album “This is the Story”, which included the top-3 hit “Letter From America”.

Since then, the band has released a total of eleven studio albums and will be heading into the studio later this year to record their 12th album. While most will only know them from their smash hit “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)”, The Proclaimers have built a loyal following based on their political fire, passionate song writing, and sharp wit. They’ve managed to carve out a niche for themselves as a folky band that includes a combination of pop, new wave, and punk in their music and lyrics.
