WARRINGTON Town have confirmed that attacking midfielder Matthew Grivosti has signed for Football League side Bolton Wanderers.

Grivosti, 19, broke in to the Yellows first team last season and went on to make 36 appearances, scoring nine goals.

He told the Bolton Wanderers official club website: “I’ve always wanted to get to a club like this and I’m made up to have got here.

“I had a great time at the Academy and playing for Warrington and scoring a few goals in that league – and all levels of non-league – you get interest.

“Luckily Bolton came along and spoke to the manager and he was happy for me to go and reach my potential.

“The ‘B’ team model is brilliant and including the men’s football in there because I’ve learned so much in one season. The experience is unbelievable.

“Wherever I am I want to play at the highest level so I want to reach the first team.”

A product of the Robbie Fowler Academy, Grivosti scored winning goals against Kendal Town, Gainsborough Trinity and Grantham Town last season.

As part of the deal, Bolton will travel to Cantilever Park to face Warrington Town in a friendly on Tuesday August 2.
