Man charged with possessing knife following attempted robbery in Warrington

POLICE investigating an attempted robbery on Winwick Street, Warrington on Friday have charged a man in connection to the incident.

Shaun Scanlon, 46, from Orford, Warrington, has been charged with possession of a knife/sharp object in a public place.

He was remanded into custody and will appear at Chester Magistrates Court today, Monday 13 June.

The charge relates to an incident that took place on Friday 10 June on Winwick Street, Warrington.
