Police appeal for witnesses after person seriously injured following two vehicle collision at Lymm

UPDATED: POLICE are appealing for witnesses after one person was seriously injured following a two-vehicle collision under a bridge on Stage Lane, Lymm earlier this morning.

The collision took place at 7.35 am with fire crews from Birchwood and Irlam attending at the scene.

The road traffic collision involved a grey Vauxhall Insignia and a silver Peugeot 206 near to the junction of Burford Lane and Stage Lane.

Firefighters attended to help one person out of a vehicle.

The crew used cutting gear and small tools at the incident and paramedics attended.

It’s understood the air ambulance also attended at the scene.

One person has been taken to hospital as a result of the collision, they are believed to have sustained serious injuries.
