EMPLOYEES at Miller Homes’ North West region at Birchwood Park have raised £3151 for Warrington homeless and vulnerable persons charity, Room at The Inn.

Throughout April, Miller Homes employees joined together to raise money for the non-profit organisation. The homebuilder contributed £1 for every mile walked by fundraising participants, which came to 3151 miles altogether. The immense feat by team members has generated a healthy sum of money which has since been passed over to Room At The Inn.

Room at the Inn offers daytime assistance to the homeless and vulnerable in the region, as well as a 22-bed supported accommodation scheme for individuals that would otherwise be homeless on Museum Street.

The organisation helps provide food, drink, washing services, clothing, and other supportive services to people in need, as well as providing assistance with food bank vouchers. Goods parcels are also provided by Room At The Inn and they also provide aid with housing applications and accessing local resources. This is only a portion of what the non-profit charity has to offer.

Ian Smith, Managing Director of Miller Homes North West said: “It’s wonderful to be able to give this donation to a charity that helps those who don’t have somewhere safe to stay. Especially knowing all of it was raised by our brilliant and selfless team, they should be really proud!”

Selina Miller, Chairperson at Room At The Inn, adds: “We were so thankful that Miller Homes chose us as their charity to raise money for, over £3000 will make such a difference to our organisation and will enable us to continue supporting vulnerable people across Warrington.”

The charity is actively accepting donations and encouraging fundraisers on their website.

The Miller Homes North West Head Office team at Birchwood Park is made up of approximately 90 people, looking after a number of current active developments in the region.

Updates on further fundraising efforts by the Miller Homes team, as well as all other community and charity initiatives undertaken within the region, can be followed on Twitter.
