Fire crews tackle deliberate bin fire and unattended camp fire

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle a deliberate fire involving a wheelie bin at Orford, Warrington, last night and an unattended camp fire at Great Sankey earlier today Sunday.

Shortly after 8: 10pm last night one fire engine from Warrington attended a bin on fire on land off Mendip Avenue, Warrington. The fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately, was extinguished using a hand appliance.

Meanwhile, shortly after midday, today, one crew from Penketh, used a water backpack to put out an unattended camp fire in woodland off Lingley Green Avenue in Great Sankey.
