LYMM Festival returns at the end of June and organisers are calling on village residents, friends and families to get involved in the fun.

There will be lots of great events taking part over 11 days with something for everyone of all ages and interests: art and literature, music, comedy, food, heritage and family fun.

Every household in Lymm should be now have had a copy of the Event Guide delivered to their door containing details of all the events.

The highly popular FoodFest will kickstart the Festival on Thursday 23rd June when the village will come alive with stalls from local restaurants, street food traders and entertainment.

As the BBC’s Royal Correspondent, for 14 years, Jennie Bond was at the heart of events that made headlines around the world: from the fairytale marriages to the adultery, the di-vorces and the deaths.

Jennie will be sharing her experiences and hilarious ad-ventures as Royal Correspondent during an entertaining evening event at Statham Lodge.

Staying with a ‘Royal’ theme, the ever popular Scarecrow Trail has ‘Famous British Figures of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign’ as this year’s theme. There is lots of scope for some great characters to create – either people or fictional: Winston Churchill, Harry Potter, Alan Turing, Spice Girls, Stephen Hawking, James Bond, Wonder Woman, Adele, Usain Bolt.

Another famous name joining the Festival line up will be Dr Phil Hammond, ahead of his appearance at Edinburgh Festival. Phil Hammond was an NHS doctor for 37 years and is also an award-winning writer, broadcaster and comedian, and Private Eye’s medical correspondent for 30 years. His account of the pandemic “Dr Hammond’s Covid Casebook” is a Sunday Times Bestseller.
