Busy night of alcohol related incidents for Warrington police

POLICE had a busy night of mainly alcohol-related incidents in the Warrington area with several arrests and a road traffic collision.

In Culcheth, a driver failed to provide a specimen of breath at the roadside after being involved in a single-vehicle road traffic collision. They were arrested and will soon be attending court. Thankfully there were no injuries in this collision.

Meanwhile, a male was arrested in the town centre for being drunk and disorderly while a female was arrested for providing a positive sample of breath in the town centre – the driver blew twice the legal limit.

A male was also arrested in the town centre on suspicion of Possession With Intent to Supply Class A Drugs, who, despite his best effort to run away was tackled and a large quantity of drugs was found.

A female was also arrested in the town centre for a Section 39 Assault, while a male was arrested for a public order offence in the town centre.

Finally a 37-year-old male was arrested last night in the Appleton area for domestic-related assault and damage.
