FIREFIGHTERS were called out to deal with a fuel spillage on a petrol station forecourt at Lymm yesterday evening while earlier in the day a crew tackled a Planter fire at Penketh.

Shortly after 6:30 pm one crew from Lymm was called to a fuel spillage at a petrol station forecourt at the Lymm Truck Stop on Cliff Lane.
The crew used environmental packs to prevent the fuel from entering drainage systems. A cordon was put in place while the incident was dealt with.

In another incident earlier in the day at 7:40 am one crew from Penketh was called to a large Planter fire on Widnes Road at Penketh.
They used a hose reel at the incident. The planter was on a footpath between two main roads so one lane was closed while the incident was dealt with.
