Police alerted after suspected arson incidents at recreation ground and allotments

POLICE have been alerted following two suspected arson incidents involving deliberate fires at a recreation ground and allotments.

Shortly before 8 pm last night one crew from Warrington was called out to reports of a fire on a recreation ground on Bridgewater Avenue, Westy, Warrington.

The small fire in the recreation ground on Bridgewater Avenue was put out by firefighters. The crew reported the incident to the police as it is believed the fire was started deliberately.

Earlier, just after 7 pm one fire engine from Lymm was called to a small fire in the allotments on Reddish Lane that was put out by firefighters using a water backpack.

The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Anyone with any information is asked to call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

  1. One day there families may need fire services but they cannot attend because of dealing with these idiots starting small fires. Grow up.

  2. We seem to be witnessing a slow decline in society that is going unchecked due to weaknesses in the judicial system and a lack of police officers. This really needs to be addressed in the near future before it becomes unstoppable.
