WARRINGTON 10k race is back for the first time since the start of the pandemic, on Thursday 30th June at 19:30pm.

The two-lap race over a very flat 10km course starts in Woolston Park and follows a flat course around the park and surrounding roads, but it does not cross any main roads.

The race has been organised by Warrington Road Runners over the past 37 years, a local running club based in Stockton Heath. Organisers say: “Everyone has missed the popular 10k race, so let’s make this year’s return the best we’ve had. We are excited to welcome back runners, from novice to experienced athletes, and all finishers will receive a goody bag.”

Due to covid restrictions the race couldn’t be held in 2020 or 2021, but in 2019 there were 374 people pounding around Woolston Park. The winner of the race, local runner Daniel Cliffe, completed the course in 31 minutes and 12 seconds, with the final finisher completing the course in 1 hour and 26 minutes.
