Police warning over suspicious activity in Penketh area

POLICE are warning residents of suspicious activity in the Penketh area involving vehicle and pedal cycle thefts.

Local officers are reporting suspicious activity along with vehicle theft and pedal cycle theft within the area of Station Road, Tannery Lane and Widnes Road.

They are asking anyone who has witnessed any suspicious activity or has been a victim of crime and not reported it then please report it straight away on 101 or 999 in an emergency.

If you have been a victim of crime within this area or on the periphery of these locations then you can fill in a report online at the Cheshire constabulary website or phone 101 and if none of these are an option then pop into the helpdesk at Penketh and report it.
The help desk is open between 09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday.

Meanwhile part of “operation sceptre”, police will be parked on Honiton square on Saturday, May 14 between 17:00 – 19:00, operation sceptre is a knife surrender operation, anyone with any knives they want to dispose of can place them into a secure knife bin to be correctly disposed of.
