New research reveals Warrington as the safest place to live

HOT on the heels of being ranked the third best place for a night out in the UK, new research has revealed Warrington as the safest place to live.

Security training company Get Licensed looked at factors including how safe the location feels to locals, how safe it is to get a taxi, drug, weapon and violent offences, etc., to reveal the UK’s safest cities to live in: https://www.get-licensed.co.uk/get-daily/uk-safety-index/

Warrington took the top spot as the safest place in the UK, having earned a Safety Index Score of 7.81 out of the 50 largest cities and towns surveyed.

Warrington has the UK’s 2nd lowest level of street crime, with an overall score of 8.57 and only 0.012 crimes recorded per 1,000 people. It also has the 2nd highest taxi safety score in the UK at 5 out of 7.
Warrington’s residents have the 7th highest level of perceived safety in the UK.
While the town has relatively low levels of crime across most offences, it does suffer from a slightly higher rate of violent and sexual offences than other locations in the top 10.

According to the survey, having received a score of just 2.14. This low score is the result of very low perceived safety among residents, as well as higher than average crime rates, particularly for violent and sexual offences where the rate for January 2022 was 11.05 crimes for every 1,000 people.
