No further COVID-19 deaths but hospital inpatient numbers rise slightly again

WHILE no further COVID-19-related deaths have been reported at Warrington Hospital and infection rates are continuing to fall, inpatient numbers have risen slightly again.

Inpatient numbers at Warrington Hospital have risen again slightly from 63-65 including one in intensive care, while 11 more patients have been discharged since yesterday.

Current inpatients as of Wednesday, April 6, 2022 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 65 (63) including 1 (0) in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 635 – 303.3 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 260.4.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 677 – 323.3 per 100,000.

There have been 365 (383) new COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days, including 62 since yesterday, taking the total to 76,818 (76,756) and an infection rate of 217.3 (228.3) per 100,000 which has fallen again, while the national rate also continues to fall to 207.9 (217.8).
Testing has also fallen by -30,687(-1.4%) over the past seven days.
