Four more COVID-19 deaths in past 24 hours as hospital inpatient numbers rise again

FOUR more COVID-19-related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital in the past 24 hours, with inpatient numbers rising again after recent falls.

Inpatient numbers at Warrington Hospital have, after recent falls, risen from 55-62 while nine more patients have been discharged since yesterday.

*Due to a technical issue there is no new cases or infection rates data available for Warrington today.

Current inpatients as of Wednesday, April 6, 2022 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 62 (55) including 0 (2) in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 634 – 302.8 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 259.6.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 677 – 323.3 per 100,000.

There have been *719 (719) new COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days, including 141 since Friday, taking the total to *76,648 (76,648) and an infection rate of 239.7 (248.8) per 100,000 which has fallen again, while the national rate also continues to fall to 226.2 (238.6).
Testing has also fallen by -24,949(-1.1%) over the past seven days.
