Four more COVID-19 deaths reported over Easter Bank Holiday period

FOUR more COVID-19-related death have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital over the Easter Bank Holiday period, although hospital inpatient numbers and infection rates continue to fall.

Inpatient numbers at Warrington Hospital have continued to fall from 82-65 including 2 (2) in intensive care, while 49 more patients have been discharged since last Thursday.

Current inpatients as of Wednesday, April 6, 2022 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 65 (82) including 2 (2) in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 620 – 296.1 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 256.2
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 664 – 317.1 per 100,000.

There have been 569 (808) new COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days, including 356 since last Thursday, taking the total to 76,285 (75,929) and an infection rate of 344.8 (467.5) per 100,000 which has fallen again, while the national rate also continues to fall to 326.8 (428.7).
Testing has also fallen by -804,102(-25.6%) over the past seven days.
