POLICE are investigating after a second bin fire at Victoria Park in Warrington, in less than 24 hours.
Following on from a fire involving a recycling bin last night, firefighters were back at the park on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon, following reports of another fire involving a bin.
Shortly before 3;30 pm one fire crew was again called to the park following reports of a bin on fire.
Firefighters put out a bin on fire and Cheshire Police were also in attendance as the bin had been set on fire deliberately.
The latest incident is one of many taking place around the town in recent weeks.
Earlier at around 3:15 pm, firefighters used one hose reel to put out a conifer on fire in a garden in Paul Street, Warrington.
Deliberate fires are serious and dangerous, no matter how small they start.
