Choirs join forces in support for Ukraine

YOU could say ‘the boys in blue’ are coming together to sing and raise funds for Ukraine at the end of this month.

Warrington Male Voice Choir, led by Musical Director Russell Paterson and wearing their familiar blue jackets, will be joined by guests the Greater Manchester Police Male Voice Choir for its SPRING VOICES concert at St Oswald’s RC Church, Padgate Lane, Warrington on Saturday, 30 April 2022.

Starting at 7.30pm, the concert will feature a varied programme from both choirs, before they come together at the end of the evening to sing the Welsh choral classic Gwahoddiad.

Recognising the terrible ongoing situation in Ukraine, following the Russian invasion, the audience will be encouraged to contribute to a bucket collection in aid of the Disaster Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

Tickets (£10 for adults and £5 for youngsters under 16) will be on sale on the door.

  1. I remember seeing them at the church six years ago. I can spot random guy from the Saturday night Rock God fame show with my colleague from the Warrington Nature
Conservation Board, Les Jones standing behind him. Well worth a trip to him them sing 👍
