Road closed as one person trapped following collision at Antrobus

THE A559 Northwich Road at Antrobus near Warrington was closed this morning as fire crews attended a one-vehicle collision with one person trapped.

Shortly before 8:45 am two fire engines from Stockton Heath and Lymm attended the scene of the collision near the Birch & Bottle Inn.

The incident involved one vehicle with the occupant medically trapped inside. Firefighters stabilised the vehicle and administered care to the casualty.

One fire engine has now been released from the scene. Cheshire Police are also in attendance.

The A559 was closed by the Birch and Bottle Inn while emergency services dealt with the incident and was re-opened around 11.30 am.
