Firefighters tackle third suspected arson incident at Woolston Park

FIREFIGHTERS were called out last night to tackle a third suspected arson incident at Woolston Park, Warrington.

Shortly before 7:15 pm one crew from Birchwood was called out to reports of a fire in the park on Somerset Way, Woolston.

Firefighters used a water backpack to put out a small fire involving bin bags and a wooden pallet, believed to have been set alight deliberately.

Anyone with information about who might have started the fire should call Cheshire Police on 101.

It is the third suspected arson incident at the park within a week.
