Shortly before 2.20 pm two crews from Birchwood and Lymm were called to reports of a bedroom fire at a property on Kendal Avenue, Poplars and Hulme, Warrington.

A fire in a first-floor bedroom of the property was tackled by firefighters in breathing apparatus, using a hose reel jet.
