Road closure for carriageway resurfacing works at Stretton

THERE will be a temporary road closure at Stretton, overnight April 4-5, to allow British Telecom to carry out carriageway resurfacing works.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Northwich Road from its junction with Common Lane to its junction with Stockley Lane.

The Order will be effective from 9pm on 4th April 2022 until 6am on 5th April 2022, when signed on site.

Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Warrington Road, Marston Lane, Hall Lane, Manchester Road, Chester Road, Chester Way, Warrington Lane, Winnington Lane, Runcorn Road, Tarporley Road and vice versa.

The closure is required to allow British Telecom to carry out carriageway resurfacing works.
