Drink drive suspect arrested for assault on emergency worker

A drink-drive suspect was arrested earlier today for an alleged assault on an emergency worker in the Bewsey and Whitecross area of town.

The 37-year-old old male was arrested in Bostock Street this morning for offences of public order, driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs, failing to provide a specimen and an assault on a Cheshire Police Special Constabulary emergency worker.

Meanwhile, in another incident overnight, a 32-year-old male was arrested in the Poulton-with-Fearnhead area for breach of a non-molestation order and was taken into custody to appear in court.

A 55-year-old old male was also arrested in Warrington town centre for a failure to appear warrant for a number of drug offences.
