Police step up town centre patrols as half-term approaches

POLICE are stepping up patrols around Warrington town centre, including the town’s bus station, following ongoing issues involving anti-social behaviour involving young people.

Officers are carrying out extra patrols in and around the bus station and Town centre approaching the school half-term holidays due to issues with anti-Social behaviour involving youngsters congregating in large groups.

There have been numerous incidents in recent months, including several assaults.

In January Police introduced a dispersal Order in the town centre to address the ongoing issues.
