ONE more COVID-19 related death has sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital since yesterday, with inpatient numbers rising to 108.
Inpatient numbers at Warrington Hospital have risen from 98-108 since yesterday, while 17 more patients were discharged in the past 24 hours.
The hospital has been appealing for people to only attend the accident and emergency department in an emergency. As of 4:18 pm today in Warrington Hospital Emergency Department the longest wait to see a doctor/nurse was Over 4 hours, with 54 people waiting and 146 on the department.
Meanwhile total of 276 (304) new COVID-19 cases have also been reported in the town since yesterday.

There have been 1,845 (1,900) new COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days, including another 276 (304) new cases since yesterday, taking the total to 73,879 (73,603) and an infection rate of 914.5 which has risen again after yesterday’s brief fall (901.6) per 100,000, while the national rate has fallen for a second-day to 890.3 (898.8). Virus tests conducted over the past 7 days have fallen by more than 7 percent to 4,773,333 – a fall of 364,419.
