POLICE are investigating a “mass brawl” that broke out on Mother’s Day at a popular Culcheth restaurant.
Families had to run for safety after the brawl broke out at the Instanbul Grill on Warrington Road, with police now appealing for information to help catch those responsible.
Numerous police officers swooped on the restaurant yesterday, Sunday, after a fight broke out during a Mother’s Day-themed evening.
Eyewitnesses reported arguing, shouting and swearing before glasses were ‘thrown and smashed’ at the restaurant.
Families had to run out to the street with youngsters crying which one onlooker described as a ‘scary’ ordeal.
A large police presence descended on the scene and now an investigation is underway to trace those responsible.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At around 6.45pm on Sunday 27 March police were called to reports of an altercation at a restaurant on Warrington Road, Culcheth.
“Officers attended and found that most of those involved had fled the scene.

I’d be surprised if someone doesn’t have some phone photos or video of it. They probably also all had bookings with it being Mother’s Day. Shouldn’t be too difficult to ID the offenders.
