HEALTH watchdog HealthWatch Warrington, recently held their new work priorities event at the Gateway giving local residents a chance to have their say on the important health issues facing the town.

The public was asked to vote on topical health and Social care priorities affecting Warrington people.

Votes were received via an online survey at the event on March 17 which had a St Patrick’s Day theme.

The top four priorities were;
· GP Access,
· Dentistry
· Adult Mental Health
· Women’s Health.

Chief Executive Lydia Thompson said: It was great to hear the views from the public and to meet so many face to face at our event.

“It’s essential that we build our work around what the public feels is a priority to them, we need to hear their voice to make a real difference to the people of Warrington.”

The survey brought up two new priorities, Adult Mental Health and Women’s Health) with GP Access and Dentistry work already ongoing.
