One more COVID-19 death as inpatient numbers and infection rates rise with over 300 new cases

ONE more COVID-19 death has sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital with COVID-19 cases and inpatient numbers continuing to rise in the town.

As well as one more death, Inpatient numbers at Warrington Hospital have risen from 67-78 in the past 24 hours while eleven more patients have been discharged since yesterday.

A total of 319 new COVID-19 cases have been reported since yesterday.

Current inpatients as of Wednesday, March 23, 2022 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 78 (67) including 0 (0) in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 586 – 279.9 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 243.6
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 655 – 312.8 per 100,000.

There have been 1,898 (1,842) new COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days, including another 300 new cases since yesterday, taking the total to 71,703 (71,384) and an infection rate of 872.5 (832.9) per 100,000 which has risen again, with the national rate at 862.5 (850.5), which has also risen again.
