Firefighters help rescue trapped person following collision on M6 at Lymm

FIREFIGHTERS used specialist cutting equipment to help rescue a person trapped in a car following a single-vehicle collision on the M6 near the Lymm interchange earlier today.

Shortly after 8 am fire crews from Birchwood and Warrington were called to the collision on the M6 southbound between junctions 20 and 19.

One person was trapped in a car involved in a single-car collision on the southbound carriageway of the M6.

They were not injured but were unable to get out so firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to remove the door to enable access.
