Allotment blaze at Culcheth

FIREFIGHTERS from Birchwood, Warrington were called out to Culcheth last night (Sunday) when a fire as reported on an allotment in Holcroft Lane.
They extinguished the fire, which had been left unattended, using water from a local sources.
Earlier in the evening, a fire engine from Stockton Heath was called to a grass fire in Wharford Lane, Daresbury.
The crew used a water backpack and beaters to extinguish the blaze.
