Police investigate industrial bin blaze

POLICE are investigating following an industrial bin blaze at Padgate, Warrington, during the early hours of this morning, which is believed to have been an act of arson.

One fire engine from Birchwood was called out shortly after midnight following reports of a fire on Station Road, Padgate.

The fire was in an industrial bin and was believed to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze and a thermal imaging camera to check there was no heat spread to nearby buildings.
