POLICE have issued a warning over increased activity in caravan thefts, including two from the Warrington area.

Two were stolen from the Warrington area on the 8th and 9th of March 2022. Thankfully one was recovered but with some damage to it (pictured above).

The other, a Hobby 654VIP with distinctive blacked-out windows to the front and sides remains outstanding.

The Road Crime Unit has stopped and seized one of the vehicles involved and enquiries are continuing into tracing those responsible.

Police say offenders are known to travel some distances to enter Cheshire and other forces are suffering similarly.

The Caravans have been stolen from various locations and owners did have security measures in place to deter caravan thefts. Nonetheless, the offenders were successful in overcoming these.

All Caravan Owners in the county and businesses who are storing caravans are reminded to review their security measures. Additionally, anything suspicious, particularly vehicles should be noted and reported to the police immediately via 101 or online https://www.cheshire.police.uk/ro/report/ocr/af/how-to-report-a-crime/.
