DETECTIVES investigating a series of burglaries at mainly Co-op convenience stores, including Warrington and Lymm, have now charged four men in connection with the incidents.
Daniel Kelly, 31, and Shaun Moorcroft, 27, were both arrested Friday 11 March. The pair have since been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary.
Kelly, of Prior Street, Bootle, and Moorcroft, of no fixed abode, Bootle, both appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Monday 14 March where they were remanded in custody.
The charges against Kelly and Moorcroft relate to burglaries at nine convenience stores across Cheshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester, which took place between Thursday 10 February and Friday 11 March, including the Co-op, Chaise Meadow, Lymm and the Co-op, Knutsford Road, Warrington
Two other men, Anthony Hollywood and Anthony Carroll, both aged 42, were also charged with conspiracy to commit burglary on Wednesday 23 February.
The charges against Hollywood, of Stafford Drive, Bootle, and Carroll, of Longfellow Street, Bootle, relate to burglaries at seven convenience store which took place between Thursday 10 February and Tuesday 22 February.
All but one of the charges related to Co-op convenience stores.
All four men are set to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday 24 March.
