Infection rates continue to fall as 106 new COVID-19 cases confirmed

INFECTION rates are continuing to fall in Warrington although 106 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the latest data.

Inpatient numbers have fallen slightly from 51-50, including two in intensive care, while eight further patients were discharged. No further deaths have been reported for a third consecutive day.

Current inpatients as of Thursday, March 3, 2022 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 50 (51) including 2 (1) in ICU.

*There have been 532 (511) new COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days, including 106 (83) since yesterday, taking the total to 67,508 (67,402) and an infection rate of 247.9 (258.4) per 100,000 continuing a downward trend, with the national rate at 356.8, also continuing a downward trend.
