PLANS for a new industrial building which would provide 180 jobs – 40 of them new jobs – at Birchwood Park, Warrington are to be put to the borough’s development management committee tomorrow (Thursday)

The scheme – a reserved matters application following the granting of outline consent in 2015 – would enable existing company Warrington Fire to relocate from their existing premises in Holmesfield Road, Howley.

Warrington Fire carry out testing, inspection and certification of materials, products and processes for a wide range of customers to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and general fitness for purpose

The committee will be told the proposed development would be abutted on two sides by Daten Avenue and Kelvin Street.

The nearest houses are about 340 metre away on Warrington Road, Risley while there are others about 360 metres away in Brunskill Close.

There have been no objections to the development and officers say it is an acceptable development that is in line with the 2015 outline planning consent.
