Warrington retains Fairtrade status

0

WARRINGTON has successfully retained its Fairtrade status as a town to the delight of local volunteers.

The town has held this status since 2006 and it has been renewed again until December 2023.

This is recognition of the Borough helping to support better working conditions for farmers and workers throughout the world, through shopping choices and awareness.

The renewal certificate was presented to Mayor Cllr Maureen Creaghan at an event at the Fair4All stall at Warrington Market recently, which was attended by volunteers and members of the Warrington Fairtrade Steering Group.
