Rotary present £4,860 to Christmas Float supporters

THE Rotary Club of Lymm organised a special Presentation Evening at Grappenhall & Thelwall Royal British Legion to present monies earned by local groups and organisations who helped with the annual Christmas Float collection.

The speakers were Liz McGrath for the Cheshire Agricultural Society Chaplaincy, Nicola Henshaw for St Rocco’s Hospice and Julie Barnes from Sainsburys about their Music and Memory and Pancreatic Cancer Charities.

Entertainment was Cesca who sang beautifully during the evening she was also recruited by Julie to sing for the Dementia attendees at her Music and Memory group. This was in addition to being asked to sing for the residents at Brookfield House.

Several of the groups represented liaised on the evening and will be working together for Lymm’s youth.

The float collection raised a total of £8,463, of which £4,860 was handed out to those who helped out.
