UPDATED: THE driver of a lorry which overturned resulting in the closure of the M56 near Warrington, thankfully escaped uninjured.
The incident happened on the westbound carriageway between J9 for the M6 and J10 (Stretton) at Warrington.
Emergency services including Cheshire Fire & Rescue and North West Motorway Police Group attended at the scene. National Highways Traffic Officers also attended as recovery was arranged.
Thankfully fire crews were not required and the driver of the vehicle escaped uninjured.
All lanes have now been re-opened.

Earlier in the day there were delays on the M6 Thelwall viaduct while emergency repairs were carried out to the carriageway.
