COMMUNITY group Helping Hands. Orford, Poplars and Hulme, has been out and about in Warrington, carrying out “Random acts of Kindness.”
The group, who have about 20 volunteers, walked the streets and visited local supermarkets, carrying bags filled with goodies to hand out to complete strangers on a completely random basis
Chairman Carol Kilgannon said: “This brought a great buzz to the Warrington area. Some volunteers visited Adsa, Tesco, Co-ops, and Orford Pharmacy and others just walked the streets.
“We hope this highlights the fact that we are still here and sharing love and kindness throughout the town.
“We would also like to thank Warrington Lions and Morrisons for their support for this project.”
The Helping Hands group has been active in Warrington since the start of the pandemic. Its volunteers come from all over the borough.
Earlier in the pandemic they set up a food hub to help people in difficulties and they have also carried out a litter pick.
Today (Thursday) is national “Random Acts of Kindness” Day.
