Police seek two men after woman’s pension money stolen during purse theft

POLICE have issued a CCTV image of two men they are seeking after a 69-year-old woman’s pension money was stolen during a purse theft in Warrington town centre.

At around 11am on Saturday 5 February the 69-year-old woman was shopping in Heron Foods, Buttermarket Street, Warrington, when she had her purse stolen, which contained her pension money.

PC Graham Davies said: “To take this woman’s pension money is abominable and has left the victim extremely upset.

“We are determined to find those responsible and are following a number of lines of enquiry. We believe the men may have links to the Coventry area and would urge anyone who recognises the men in the CCTV image to contact us.”
