Rugby youngsters receive defibrillator from Ciaran’s Cause charity

YOUNGSTERS from Woolston Rovers Rugby League Club Under 9s Greens have recently received the fantastic donation of a Defibrillator from the charity Ciaran’s Cause.

The charity was established ten years ago in honour of Ciaran Geddes who suddenly passed away at the age of 7 years old when his heart stopped whilst he was playing on a field in Locking Stumps.

Ciaran’s mum, Marika, went on to set up a charity in his name in the hope that no other families go through the heartache that her family endured.

The charity has worked with lots of local organisations and sports teams and the Under 9s Greens are thrilled to receive such a wonderful and important donation for their team.

They will be forever grateful to be gifted such an expensive piece of equipment and it will be on the sideline for every training session and all matches.
