GOVERNORS at Bruche Primary School in Warrington have been given the stamp of approval with a national award.

Bruche Primary, part of Warrington Primary Academy Trust (WPAT) has been awarded the Effectiveness of School Governance Award (ESGA).

The accolade is awarded to governing boards that can provide evidence of their impact and effectiveness in driving school performance, supporting positive outcomes for pupils and staff, and fulfilling their statutory duties over a sustainable period of time.

Chair of Governors Matt Jones said the award recognised the commitment of governors, saying; “I’m always really proud of our brilliant school, however I’m particularly pleased that our governors have received recognition for everything they do,” he said.

“Being a school governor is a voluntary commitment, and I would like to thank our governors for working tirelessly to support the school and ensure our children get the best education at Bruche.

“I would also like to thank our children, staff, parents, local community and Warrington Primary Academy Trust for their support of the school.”

Bruche Primary is one of seven primary schools that make up of Warrington Primary Academy Trust (WPAT), a community of more than 2,100 children aged 2 to 11.

WPAT was formed in 2016 and quickly developed a national reputation for excellent standards. WPAT provides staff at all of its schools with support, expertise and professional development so that they can provide the very best education standards for their children.
