Man arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary after armed police raids

A man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary after armed police carried out raids on two properties in Warrington this morning.

Armed officers carried out raids at two properties, one on Weir Street, Lower Walton and another at Ruislip Court, Padgate.

The male was arrested at the property on Weit Street and has been taken into custody for questioning on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “This morning – Wednesday, February 2 – armed officers executed two warrants in Warrington, one on Weir Street and another at Ruislip Court, as part of an ongoing investigation.

“A man was arrested at an address on Weir Street on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

“He is currently in police custody.”
